Prayer for Sobriety

Lord, I come before you this morning with a grateful heart. Thank you for the gift of this new day, for the breath in my lungs, and for your unfailing mercies that greet me each dawn. I acknowledge that every moment is a blessing from your hand. As I step into this day, I ask for your guidance and wisdom. Help me to see you in the details of my life—in the faces of those I meet, in the work before me, and in the quiet moments of reflection. Guard my heart from worry and fear, and fill my mind with your truth. Let every decision I make today reflect my love for you and my desire to live as your light in this world. I surrender my plans to your will, trusting that you see what I cannot. Thank you for going before me. Amen.

God, I know my schedule is full and my to-do list is long, but I'm asking you to help me find focus amidst the chaos. Give me wisdom to prioritize what truly matters and the discernment to let go of what doesn't. Help me work with diligence but not desperation, with purpose but not perfectionism.
