Lift up your country, its leaders, and its people before the throne of God.
Heavenly Father, Your Word in 1 Timothy 2:1-2 calls us to pray for all who are in authority, so that we may lead peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness. Lord, I bring before You every leader in our nation — from local officials to the highest offices. Grant them wisdom that comes only from You. Soften their hearts toward justice and righteousness. Where there is corruption, bring it to light. Where there is selfishness, replace it with servant hearts. Help our leaders to remember that they are accountable to You above all else. May they seek counsel from Your Word and surround themselves with people of integrity. Father, we know from Proverbs 14:34 that righteousness exalts a nation. Let our leaders pursue what is right, not merely what is popular. Protect them and their families, and give them the courage to stand for truth even when it costs them. We trust You with the future of our country. In Jesus' name, Amen.
Lord God, You are the ultimate Judge, and You love justice. We cry out to You for our nation today. There is so much division, anger, and pain in our land. People are hurting, communities are fractured, and trust has been broken. But we remember Your promise in 2 Chronicles 7:14 — that if Your people humble themselves, pray, seek Your face, and turn from their wicked ways, You will hear from heaven and heal our land. Father, we humble ourselves before You now. Forgive us where we have been part of the problem. Heal the wounds of injustice that run deep in our society. Raise up men and women who will champion fairness and mercy. Where there is violence, bring Your peace. Where there is hatred, pour out Your love. Let the courts of our land reflect Your character. May every citizen find dignity and hope, because as Psalm 33:12 declares, blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord. We place our hope in You alone. Amen.
Merciful Father, we come before You with heavy hearts for the state of our nation. We have strayed so far from the values You established. We have celebrated what You call wrong and dismissed what You call good. Yet even now, Your mercy endures. You told Solomon in 2 Chronicles 7:14 that healing begins with Your people — not with politicians or policies, but with those who bear Your name. So here we are, Lord. We repent on behalf of our nation. Forgive us for our pride, our greed, and our indifference to the suffering of others. Awaken the Church to be salt and light again. Stir a hunger for righteousness across every city and town. As Proverbs 14:34 reminds us, sin is a disgrace to any people, but righteousness lifts a nation up. Father, let revival begin in our own hearts and spread across this land like a holy fire. Turn our nation back to You, one heart at a time. In the mighty name of Jesus, Amen.
Dear Lord, our nation feels so divided right now. Everywhere we look, people are choosing sides, building walls, and refusing to listen to one another. It breaks Your heart, and it breaks ours too. Father, You created every person in this nation in Your image. Every life matters to You — regardless of background, belief, or status. Help us to see each other the way You see us. Paul urged believers to pray for all people, especially those in authority, so that peace might prevail (1 Timothy 2:1-2). Lord, we ask for that peace now. Tear down the walls of hostility between communities. Give us ears to listen and hearts to understand. Replace our outrage with compassion and our fear with faith. Remind us that we are stronger together than apart. Psalm 33:12 says that the nation whose God is the Lord is blessed — so we invite You into every conversation, every debate, and every decision that shapes our country. Unite us under Your banner of love. In Jesus' name, Amen.
"If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land."
"I urge, then, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for all people — for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness."
"Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord, the people he chose for his inheritance."
"Righteousness exalts a nation, but sin condemns any people."
