Whether near or far, by road or by air, ask the Lord to guard your going out and your coming in.
Lord God, I am about to set out on a journey and I ask for Your protection over every mile. Psalm 121:7-8 promises that You will keep me from all harm and watch over my coming and going, both now and forevermore. I claim that promise as I walk out the door today. Go before me on the roads I will travel. Clear the path of danger, guard against accidents, and bring me safely to my destination. Proverbs 3:23-24 says that I will go on my way in safety and my foot will not stumble — let that be true for this trip. I trust You with the planes, the cars, the trains, whatever carries me. Psalm 91:11 tells me You command Your angels concerning me to guard me in all my ways. I picture those angels surrounding every vehicle, every terminal, every stretch of highway. Give me alertness if I am driving, peace if I am a passenger, and calm if turbulence shakes the plane. Protect not just me but every person traveling alongside me. Bring us all home safely to the people who love us. Amen.
Heavenly Father, as I get behind the wheel today, I invite Your presence into this car. Every trip, whether long or short, carries risk, and I do not want to take a single mile for granted. Psalm 91:11 assures me that You have given Your angels charge over me. Station them at every intersection, every merge, every blind spot. Give me sharp reflexes, clear vision, and sound judgment on the road. Keep me free from distraction — let my eyes stay on the road and my mind stay alert. Proverbs 3:23-24 promises safe travel and sure footing, and I apply that promise to my tires on this pavement. Protect me from reckless drivers, from mechanical failures, from weather hazards I cannot predict. Psalm 121:7-8 says You watch over my going and coming. Watch over this commute, this road trip, this drive home. And Lord, help me to be a safe driver for others too — patient, courteous, and attentive. Let no harm come to anyone on the roads I travel today. Bring me home safely to the people waiting for me. Isaiah 43:2 assures me that when I pass through difficulties, You are with me. Amen.
God, someone I love is traveling and I cannot be there to protect them. So I place them in the safest hands in the universe — Yours. Psalm 121:7-8 promises that You will keep them from all harm, that You will watch over their life and their coming and going. I stand on that promise right now. Cover them with Your protection as Psalm 91:11 describes — command Your angels to guard them in all their ways. Whether they are flying over oceans, driving through unfamiliar cities, or navigating crowded airports, be their constant companion and shield. Proverbs 3:23-24 speaks of going on one's way in safety, and I pray that safety over my loved one's entire journey. Protect them from accidents, illness, crime, and every form of danger seen and unseen. Give them wisdom in their decisions, peace in their hearts, and joy in their travels. Isaiah 43:2 assures us that when we pass through waters, You are there. Be there with them at every turn. And Lord, bring them home safely. Let me embrace them again with a grateful heart. Amen.
Lord, I confess that traveling fills me with anxiety. The fear of flying, the worry about accidents, the discomfort of being far from home — it all tightens around my chest like a vice. But I refuse to let fear steal the experiences and connections that travel brings. Isaiah 43:2 promises that when I pass through the waters, You will be with me, and when I walk through the fire, I will not be burned. You are with me in the turbulence, on the unfamiliar highway, in the foreign city. Psalm 121:7-8 says You watch over my going and coming. You are not watching from a distance — You are right beside me. Psalm 91:11 tells me angels are assigned to my protection. That is more security than any insurance policy. Proverbs 3:23-24 promises that I will go safely and my sleep will be sweet. Let me sleep peacefully in hotel rooms and on overnight flights, trusting that You are my constant protector. Replace my travel anxiety with travel gratitude. Help me see every journey as an adventure You are sharing with me. Amen.
"The Lord will keep you from all harm — he will watch over your life; the Lord will watch over your coming and going both now and forevermore."
"Then you will go on your way in safety, and your foot will not stumble. When you lie down, you will not be afraid; when you lie down, your sleep will be sweet."
"For he will command his angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways."
"When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you."
