Open Prayer Copilot App →Father, I give You the firstfruits—the first and best of what I receive. I don't give You leftovers or what remains after I've satisfied myself. I give You the first, acknowledging that You're first in my life, that You deserve my best, that everything I have comes from Your hand. Help me to practice this not just financially but in all areas—first time of my day, first energy of my effort, first attention to needs, first love in my heart. Let my giving of firstfruits be a statement of Your primacy and my commitment to honoring You above all else. Accept this offering from my hand and heart. Amen.
Lord, I consecrate to You the beginning of all things in my life—my day, my relationships, my work, my resources, my talents. Help me to start every day in prayer and devotion, dedicating my hours to You. Help me to enter every project with Your presence and Your purposes first in mind. Help me to approach every relationship with Your love as the foundation. Help me to use every resource I've been given with the awareness that it ultimately belongs to You and should be used for Your glory. Let my life be characterized by firstfruits thinking—always giving You the beginning, the best, the first. Amen.
Faithful Father, as I give my firstfruits, strengthen my faith that You will provide. Help me trust that giving the best to You won't leave me lacking, that honoring You first won't result in poverty, that trusting You with my resources is wise stewardship. Help me experience the promise that as I seek first Your kingdom and Your righteousness, all these things will be given to me as well. Give me courage to give generously, to honor You boldly, and to live in the confidence that my provision comes from You, not from my earnings or resourcefulness. Let my firstfruits giving be an act of faith. Amen.
God of blessings, help me to give my firstfruits with gratitude and worship. Help me to recognize that everything I have is ultimately from Your hand. Help me to be grateful for increase, provision, and abundance. Let my giving be not reluctant duty but joyful worship. Let me give my firstfruits as an act of praise, as a way of saying "Thank you for blessing me. I honor You with the best that You've given." Help my giving to flow from a grateful heart that recognizes Your goodness and wants to respond with generosity and worship. Amen.
Lord, as I give my firstfruits, I ask for Your blessing and increase. I give believing that Your hand is multiplying what I've given, that my sacrifice becomes seed planted in good soil, that my generosity opens channels for You to bless me further. I give believing that You're not in debt to anyone, that Your generosity exceeds my own, that You delight in blessing those who honor You. Thank You for the increase You've provided in the past. Continue to bless my life and give me opportunities to give more firstfruits as You increase what I have. Let my life be characterized by growing ability to honor You more generously. Amen.

From the earliest laws in Exodus to teachings in Proverbs, believers are encouraged to offer the first and best of what they receive back to God. This practice reflects a deep theological principle: God is first, He deserves the best, and trusting Him with our firstfruits demonstrates faith in His provision.
Firstfruits thinking extends beyond financial giving to all areas of life. It means giving God your first time through morning devotion. It means giving Him your first energy through dedicated work. It means giving Him your first attention by being fully present in prayer. It means giving Him your first love by prioritizing your relationship with Him above all others. When your life is characterized by firstfruits—always giving God first place—everything else finds its proper perspective.
The promise connected to firstfruits is beautiful: when you honor God with the first and best, He releases blessing. Your barns fill to overflowing. Your vats brim over. You experience provision that exceeds your expectations. This isn't a formula for manipulation but a promise grounded in God's character—He delights in blessing those who trust and honor Him.
Practicing firstfruits prayer trains your heart toward faith, generosity, and God-centeredness. Each time you give the first to Him, you're declaring His primacy. Each time you trust Him with what remains, you're strengthening your faith. Over time, firstfruits living becomes a natural expression of your deep devotion to God.
Related but distinct. Tithe is ten percent of income. Firstfruits is the first portion given before dividing the rest. Some believers do both. Firstfruits emphasizes priority and quality; tithing emphasizes percentage and consistency. Both express commitment to honoring God.
God doesn't expect what you don't have. Give whatever you can from the heart. A widow's two coins offered in faith pleased Jesus more than large gifts from the wealthy. God looks at your heart and your sacrifice, not the amount.
Examine your heart. Are you giving your best or your leftovers? Are you giving before or after you've satisfied yourself? Are you giving cheerfully or reluctantly? God looks at the heart behind the gift. If you're giving your first and best with joy, you're honoring Him.
