Prayer for Addiction Recovery

Lord, I come before You broken and honest about my addiction. I cannot fix this myself, and I'm done pretending I can. My strength has failed me repeatedly, and I need Your power to break these chains that have held me captive. Help me surrender completely—not just my behavior, but my desire to control my own recovery. When cravings come, remind me that You are present and stronger than any urge. Give me clarity to see the roots of my addiction, the pain I've been numbing, the lies I've believed about myself. Help me receive the truth that I am not defined by my addiction or my failures. As I take each difficult step toward recovery, sustain me with Your mercy. Connect me with people who will speak truth and hold me accountable. Protect my mind from shame spirals and my heart from hopelessness. I choose today, and if I fail, I choose again tomorrow. Thank You for meeting me in this valley and for calling me toward freedom.
