Prayer for Burnout

Lord, I come before You today with a weary heart. I'm running on empty, and I don't know how to refill. The tasks that once brought me joy now feel like weights I can barely carry. My energy is depleted, my patience is thin, and I feel like I'm failing at everything that matters most. I need Your help. Help me recognize that my worth isn't found in what I accomplish, but in who I am as Your beloved daughter. Teach me to rest without guilt, to say no without shame, and to trust that You are still working even when I'm still. Restore my soul, Lord. Calm my anxious mind and remind me that You never intended for me to carry this alone. Show me where I need to let go, what needs to change, and how to move forward with renewed strength. I open my hands to You—my schedule, my expectations, my weariness. Fill me with Your peace that surpasses understanding. In Jesus's name, Amen.

Father, this season has been harder than I could have imagined. The demands keep multiplying while my strength keeps diminishing. I'm caught between people who need me and a body and spirit that are crying out for mercy. I feel stuck between two impossible choices. But You've promised that You'll never give me more than I can bear, and right now, I'm asking You to help me see where I'm carrying what was never meant for me. Give me clarity and courage to make changes, even when they're difficult. Surround me with people who understand and support me. Help me extend the same grace to myself that I so freely give to others. In this hard season, remind me that seasons change. This exhaustion won't last forever. You are my refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Carry me through these heavy days. Let me feel Your presence, Your comfort, and Your unwavering love. Thank You for meeting me here. Lord, my heart is breaking because someone I love is burning out, and I feel helpless to fix it. I watch them pour from an empty cup and wish I could carry some of their burden. Give me wisdom to know how to help—whether that's through listening, encouraging boundaries, or simply being present without judgment. Help them recognize their own worth beyond productivity, and give them courage to make the changes they need to make. Protect their heart from shame and their mind from the lies that tell them they're failing. Soften their defenses so they can receive help and rest. Surround them with people who truly see them and support them. Give me patience and grace as I walk alongside them, and help me remember that their healing ultimately rests in Your hands, not mine. I can't save them, but You can restore them. Work in their life, Lord. Bring them peace, healing, and renewed hope. And help me be a faithful friend through this season. In Jesus's name, Amen.

Father, I declare over my burnout that You are faithful. When I am faithless, You remain faithful. When my strength fails, Your strength never does. When I question whether things will ever get better, You are already working toward my restoration. I choose to believe that this burnout doesn't define my future—Your faithfulness does. You have proven Your love for me again and again. You haven't abandoned me in my exhaustion, and You won't abandon me now. I declare that healing is possible, that rest is available to me, and that You are trustworthy with my recovery. Help me align my life with truth: that I am loved beyond measure, that my identity is secure in Christ, and that rest is not laziness but obedience. As I take steps toward wholeness, I trust You to guide me. You are the God who restores. You are faithful when I cannot be. You are my anchor, my refuge, my strength.
