Prayer for Forgiveness of Self

Lord, I come before You today carrying the weight of my own unforgiveness. I have confessed my sins to You, and I believe You have forgiven me, yet I cannot seem to extend that same grace to myself. I replay my failures, my mistakes, my moments of weakness, and I tell myself I should have known better, done better, been better. But Lord, I see now that this refusal to forgive myself is a form of pride and disobedience. It dishonors the power of Your sacrifice. It suggests Your forgiveness is incomplete. Help me release the shame I'm clutching so tightly. Grant me the courage to accept that I am human, that growth comes through mistakes, and that my worth is not determined by my performance. Teach me to look at myself through Your eyes—with compassion, with hope, with endless love. Free me from the prison of self-condemnation so I can live fully in the freedom You purchased for me. Grant them supernatural peace that surpasses understanding, the kind that can only come from You. Release them from the bondage of self-judgment and lead them into the freedom of self-acceptance. I choose to believe what Scripture says: there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. That includes me. I refuse to live as though Your redemption is incomplete or insufficient.
