Prayer for Longing for God

Lord, my soul thirsts for You like a deer that pants for streams of water. In the depths of my being, I feel the ache of separation from Your presence, and I confess that nothing else satisfies this longing. My heart knows that You are good, that Your love endures forever, yet I struggle to feel Your closeness in these days.
