Prayer for Palm Sunday

Lord, as I remember Jesus's triumphal entry into Jerusalem, I feel the weight of what I sometimes miss in the celebration. Help me see beyond the palms and hosannas to understand the full cost of His love. You knew what awaited You—betrayal, pain, the cross—yet You rode forward with purpose and peace. Soften my heart to embrace the difficult paths You sometimes call me to walk. Help me understand that true discipleship isn't always triumphant in the moment; sometimes it's quiet obedience in suffering. As Palm Sunday passes into Passion Week, anchor me in the truth that Your apparent defeat was actually my ultimate victory.
