Prayer for Peace

Heavenly Father, I come to You in this moment with a heart that feels heavy and a mind that won't stop racing. The weight of worry has settled deep in my chest, and I am struggling to breathe through the noise of fear. You already know what has shaken me — the circumstances that feel too large, the unknowns that stretch out in every direction, the what-ifs that keep pulling me under. And yet, Lord, Your Word says not to be anxious about anything. Not about the diagnosis, not about the finances, not about the marriage, not about the children. Nothing. So I am choosing right now, in this very moment, to bring it all to You — every last piece of it — with open hands and a surrendered heart. I thank You that You are not overwhelmed by what overwhelms me. I thank You that Your shoulders are broad enough to carry what I cannot. I ask You now to let Your peace — that peace which makes no logical sense, that peace the world cannot manufacture — come and settle over me like a blanket. Guard my heart. Guard my mind. Let every anxious thought be replaced by the quiet confidence that You are in control and that You are good. I receive Your peace today, Lord. Thank You. Amen.

Replace it with the deep, settled assurance that You are with me, that You love me fiercely, that Your presence goes before me and behind me and surrounds me on every side.
