Prayer for Prayer for a Generous Heart

Lord, I come before You today asking for a generous heart. Help me to see my resources—my money, my time, my talents—not as mine alone, but as gifts You've entrusted to me for a purpose larger than myself. Break down the walls of fear that make me hold too tightly to what I have. Soften my heart toward those in need around me, whether they're struggling financially, emotionally, or spiritually. Give me wisdom to know how and when to give, and courage to be bold in my generosity even when it feels risky. Transform my mindset from scarcity to abundance, reminding me that You are my provider and sustainer. As I give freely, help me experience the joy Jesus promised—that it truly is more blessed to give than to receive. Let generosity become a natural overflow of my love for You and my love for others. Help them experience the freedom that comes when we release our white-knuckled grip on earthly possessions. Show them that You are faithful, that You provide, and that we cannot outgive You. Surround them with examples of radical generosity that inspire and challenge them. I declare that my generosity is a testimony to Your faithfulness and an invitation for others to experience Your abundance.
