Prayer for Revival

Lord, do it again — send revival to our hearts, our homes, and our nation.

Personal Prayer for Revival

Heavenly Father, I come before You with an honest heart — one that has grown tired, distracted, and sometimes lukewarm without even realizing it. I confess that I have let the busyness of life crowd out the sacred space You deserve. I have scrolled when I should have prayed, consumed when I should have sought, and spoken when I should have listened. Lord, I am asking You to revive me. Not just to improve my habits or add more devotional minutes to my morning — but to set my heart on fire again. Do the deep work, Father. Reach into every corner of my soul and bring restoration where there has been dryness, passion where there has been apathy, and hunger where I have been satisfied with too little of You. Let revival begin in me. Let me be the kindling You light to spark something greater. May Your Spirit move through my surrender, my repentance, and my seeking — and let that overflow into every relationship, every room, every role I hold. Awaken me, God. I want to burn for You again. In Jesus' name, amen.

Prayer for Revival in the Church

Lord God, I lift up Your Church — every congregation, every community of believers, every gathering in Your name across this land. I pray that You would not let Your bride grow cold. Forgive us where we have traded Your presence for programming, where we have valued comfort over consecration, and where we have filled our calendars while emptying our altars. Father, breathe life into Your Church again. Send a spirit of genuine repentance that starts in the pulpit and moves through the pews. Let worship stop being performance and start being encounter. Let the preaching of Your Word cut to the heart and change people from the inside out. Let the broken find welcome, the lost find home, and the wandering find their way back. Remove any division, pride, or small-mindedness that has held back the flow of Your Spirit. Unite Your people around what matters most — the cross, the resurrection, and the Great Commission. Revive Your Church, Lord, so that the world around us cannot help but notice that something real and living is happening among Your people. We need You. We choose You. Come, Lord Jesus. Amen.

Prayer for a Spiritual Awakening in Your City

Father, I bring my city before Your throne today. I see the need — the broken families, the rising despair, the empty places that people fill with everything except You. And Lord, I refuse to look away. I choose to stand in the gap and pray for the people within a mile, within a zip code, within reach of the gospel if only someone would go or speak or care. Send a spiritual awakening to this city, Lord. Let there be a hunger for truth that no amount of distraction can satisfy. Let people walking through pain discover that You are near. Let the churches in this city stop competing and start cooperating for the sake of souls. Let revival spill out of buildings and into neighborhoods, coffee shops, schools, and workplaces. Raise up intercessors who will not stop praying. Raise up servants who will not stop serving. Let signs and wonders follow those who believe, and let the ordinary acts of love and kindness point people toward Your extraordinary grace. You have moved in cities before, Father — do it again here. Let my city become known as a place where God showed up. Amen.

Prayer for Revival in Your Family

Lord, I pray for revival in my family. Not a surface-level peace that sweeps things under the rug, but a deep, genuine work of Your Spirit that transforms us from the inside. I think of the members of my family who have walked away, grown distant, or never truly known You — and my heart breaks with longing for them to experience what it means to be found by You. Father, let revival begin around our table. Let our ordinary moments become sacred — the morning routines, the dinner conversations, the quiet evenings. Let Your Word be spoken naturally and without fear in our home. Let forgiveness flow more freely. Let love look more like Yours — patient, kind, not keeping record of wrongs. I specifically lift up _______ (insert family member's name) today. You know every wall they've built, every wound that's been left unhealed, every question they're afraid to ask. Meet them there, Lord. Pursue them with relentless love. Soften what has grown hard. Light what has gone dark. Revive our family, Lord — starting with me, starting today. Let our home be a testimony of Your restoring power. In Jesus' name, amen.

Prayer for a Generation to Turn Back to God

God, I stand in prayer today for this generation — the young men and women who are growing up in a world that offers them everything except the one thing they truly need: You. They are the most connected and yet the loneliest generation. They have access to all the information in the world and yet are starving for truth. They are searching for identity in every place but the only One who can give it to them. Lord, do not let this generation be lost. Move among the young people. Send revival to college campuses, high schools, youth groups, and living rooms where small groups gather in Your name. Let the gospel be preached with boldness and received with hungry hearts. Let there be a turning — a moment when an entire generation looks up from their screens and sees a God who is real, who is good, and who loves them completely. Raise up young men and young women who will carry the fire. Let them be so marked by Your Spirit that their peers cannot explain it away. Let them stand for truth when it costs them something and love people when it's inconvenient. Let this generation not be defined by their doubt but by their encounter with a living God. Come, Lord — move among them now. Amen.
